Cash Management Analyst
Our client, one of the nation's leading health care related companies is seeking a seasoned financial professional for a newly created position. The position will have direct exposure to the most senior officers of the company and third party managers on a routine basis. Specific functions and responsibilities include:
1. Monitor and account for daily cash transactions for corporate and managed bank accounts in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands.
2. Develop cash flow projection.
3. Prepare and update cash projections for all corporate accounts in multiple currencies.
4. Formalize FX policy and assist in Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for FX area.
5. Initiate FX risks.
6. Handle banking relationship issues including opening/closing accounts, analysis, and training.
7. Involved with special projects as requested by Treasury Manager and senior management.
This fantastic opportunity requires a great deal of energy, flexibly and analytical skills.
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. Accounting or Finance
5-10 years experience

Extensive background and aptitude in the income tax area is necessary. Large firm, public accounting experience is not required but is indicative of exposure to a broad range of tax and financial tax issues necessary for the position. Accounting experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Persuasive oral and written communication abilities are relevant to the position and require the above skills as well as a certain level of maturity. Supervisory experience, including related to professional staff, is required. Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required. CPA is preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting / finance including 8 years in the tax area. Background in a publicly traded company. Demonstrated ability to motivate, develop and manage others to develop staff and effectively meet work requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage, develop and prioritize work requirements and deadlines. Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts.
The Director of Taxation is responsible for managing all phases of the income and other tax (property, gross receipts, sales and use, etc.) function including income tax compliance, research and planning; financial income tax (FAS 109 and related), including related reporting; and management of the department. Including: Responsibility for income tax compliance and tax audits. Responsibility for financial income tax accounting, disclosures and related policies and procedures. Responsibility for identifying, reviewing and implementing tax planning strategies. Management of the Department (current headcount 6). Management and internal communications relative to tax rates, budgets and cash flow issues. Responsibility for compliance with income tax laws and regulations, including reporting and disclosure issues. Tax contact and research reference for the Company as a whole including relative to compensation, employment and benefit issues.

Two Senior Treasury positions
Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of prescription generic drugs
in the world. Due to recent and pending acquisitions, the client is in the midst
of a significant global expansion of the business. In support of the client’s
tremendous and exciting journey, Columbia Consulting Group has been retained
to recruit the two newly created senior Treasury Group positions of Assistant
Treasurer-Corporate Finance and Assistant Treasurer-Global Cash Director located
in Pittsburgh. The positions, reporting to the Treasurer, will be highly visible
in the organization and will spend significant time with and in front of senior

1. Assistant Treasurer-Global Cash
The Assistant Treasurer-Global Cash will be at the forefront of this global
expansion, helping to define and establish the European and Asia Treasury functions
as well as the pooling of global cash and the selection and implementation of
a global treasury cash management system.
The Global Cash Director’s responsibilities and requirements will include
the following:
- Support the activities of the Treasurer in the maintenance and control of
cash management systems and global cash entities.
- Oversee all daily cash investment and borrowing activities.
- Perform economic analyses for bank instruments and monitors external bank
markets, as well as provides support in the maintenance of all cash management
banking relationships.
- Possess deep knowledge of corporate banking markets, cash management techniques
and systems.
- Must understand the financial and accounting aspects of corporate finance
and have a high level ability to do financial analysis and financial statement
modeling and understand financial measures.
- Entrepreneurial with an ability and desire to roll up their sleeves and
be hands on.
- Good communications skills, and desire to be on a winning team
- MBA preferred - CFA, CPA or CTP a plus
2. Assistant Treasurer-Corporate Finance
The Assistant Treasurer-Corporate Finance will be an important member of the
team that is helping the client through a highly leveraged period over the next
few years. They will need to know what is going on in the market, know what
the competition is doing, and help with road shows among other tasks.
The Senior Director of Corporate Finance’s responsibilities and requirements
will include the following:
Support the activities of the Treasurer in the analysis and execution of the
financing of the Company.
Perform economic analyses for financial instruments and monitor external markets
Serve as a secondary point of contact for the external bank contacts.
Provide support in development and maintenance of the Corporate Debt Management
Policy.
Provide analysis and recommendations on interest rate hedging strategies.
Provide support in debt or equity issuance.
Continuously monitor debt markets and pricing of current debt instruments to
identify market opportunities.
Stay current on developing financial instruments and their possible application
in the corporate structure.
MBA preferred - CFA, CPA or CTP a plus
